Update was very smooth on Plasma. Thank you.
Have been running Discover since beginning of June. Like the way it is travelling.
There have been times around the start of July when Discover seemed to get it's feet tangled and either couldn't find software and searched continuously or could not install all the software and reported an error. A simple CLI uninstall and reinstall of the package backend fixed it and everything has been sweet for me since.

surprising that it doesn't work the first time you install it. That you have to install it, uninstall it and then install it again

AlphaElwedritsch My bad, after checking I realise that I used SC not the CLI.
Discover was still quite a new addition to my laptop so I expected some rough edges. Can't remember what the exact fault was, it was either having trouble finding software that I knew was in the repository or it failed to install some packages during an update followed by a 'Send a bug report' message, which I would have done.
I closed Discover and ran SC. Searched for Discover but the nearest match was (and still is) PackageKit Backend, which integrates packages into Discover. I had intended to uninstall Discover and then reinstall. I took a chance, uninstalled PackageKit Backend instead and then reinstalled.
It might have been coincidence but Discover worked fine after that. This also happened on another laptop and the same 'fix' was just as successful.
I'm afraid it was not reported on the bug tracker most bad things that happen on computers are down to my operating technique so I don't get concerned when stuff doesn't work quite as expected.
I hope that this information was what you needed.

I'm trying out LACT, but when I try to enable overclocking, I get this error:

endumiuz You have to enable it using this kernel parameteramdgpu.ppfeaturemask=0xffffffff. Here is how to add parameters on Solus.

For a last few updates firefox|amdgpu|VAAPI keep segfault making whole system to freeze.

This is a known issue.
And this.

Unfortunately, the problem with VAAPI segfaults is still there. Other than that, all is good.

are you supposed to be able to install without a password with discovery? i installed fooyin, no pw asked

Lucien_Lachance There're two versions. One from Flathub, one from Solus.
Are you sure you've installed the one from Solus? Flathub packages will not ask for password.

Lucien_Lachance I am running Discover which was installed from Solus repository.
Password is not asked for when installing, or uninstalling Solus and Flathub packages or Hardware Drivers.
Maybe this is tied into the Update Software Automatically option in System Settings as there seems to be no requirement to add a password when Update Software Automatically is selected.

This topic is interesting.
As for me, I installed Gnome Software Center.

What I do: when Solus Software Center notifies me of updates, I process them in this application; then, I look in Gnome Software Center and it happens that it proposes me some (often, system updates) and I validate them.
Is this the right way to proceed or should I only use Gnome Software Center now?

I also noticed that, whether for updates or to install new software, I did not have to enter any password.

Another thing: I recently installed the Nvidia System Monitor application; however, I noticed that it installed an obsolete dependency: org.kde.Platform (version 5.15-22.08 -> end of life) while there is another one (version 5.15-23.08) ; so I uninstalled this software.

Lucien_Lachance just to confirm, with discover i can install and uninstall anything i want without being asked for passwords. NOT flatpaks, but stuff from solus repo.

edit: might it be a kwallet thing? i never used kwallet i but i recall touching its configuration settings after i installed solus plasma

NVM I think I know what the issue is.

Run this:

sudo ln -sv ../../lib64/libSDL2-2.0.so.0 /usr/share/ryujinx/libSDL2.so

That should fix it.
