If you are using Plasma it has a built in emoji selector thats a bit more user friendly. Simply press:
meta key (windows key) + .
This opens the above window and you can search for emoji's and click to copy the one you want and ctrl + v to paste it elsewhere.
Note this utility can not be installed on other DE's, it is built in to Plasma.
Oh yes, I once had Manjaro w/ KDE plasma...

Jelousy is such an ugly thing. Seriously, installing an application from a foreign DE that has a lot of dependencies from that other DE can be an eye-opening experience. And it goes both ways -- KDE on a GNOME system, or GNOME on a KDE system.
