@mrx I can give you one advice... do not install Manajro at your sons school, if you really must run arch then install arch as its more stable than manjaro, the reason being manjaro have a lot of "extra" packages out of the box which in turn has the potential to cause more issues, Arch on the other hand can be installed with the minimal amount packages needed for what you want it to do, Thus making a lot less prone for issues. I had used Manajro since version 0.8 up until Solus version 1 public release, and straight Arch inbetween, so I know all 3 distro's very well. infact if it was me putting a linux distribution in my sons school it would be a toss up between Linux mint and Solus, purely for the stability and not giving linux as a desktop a bad impression when something breaks on manjaro, this will also save you having to go and fix it. Arch would be be a good option if you know exactly what packages you need and nothing more, its very easy to go crazy with the AUR and the amount of software they have but at the same time your asking for breakage once you start installing software that requires older dependencies packages
