ximbietc I can get past the boot manager but then get I stuck on the PC's logo. There are no boot messages whatsoever. The fstab file only has an entry for root, and I ran swapoff -a before that.
brent ximbietc chroot into live iso and restore swap (-a is disable, right?). or try to get a TTY between bootmanger and logo (timing). spittballing. edit/re-read. all you need is a terminal to recreate swap
ximbietc @brent Thanks for the suggestions. Recreating the swap partition didn't work but the boot rescue guide did. I'd be satisfied if I could know why booting broke. There had to be some other reference to the swap partition that isn't stored in the fstab file.
[deleted] ximbietc Most probably you didn't remove the resume entry from your boot parameters. The file containing the entry can be found in /etc/kernel/cmdline.d. You can also edit your boot parameters by pressing e in Solus boot menu. That change won't stick, however.
