For the fun of it. 🙂
You can choose multiply answers if you use more than one.

Which DE do you use on Solus OS?

Ahh, I'm too addicted to GNOME's workspaces and touchpad gestures, I can't use anything else. Though the Plasma has got the same experience, I'm afraid that I would still end up spending endless hours to tweak it for more Gnome's layout -_-

I just recently moved to KDE and I have use 1-2 weeks just playing around the settings to see what it was cable of. But I settle with this. Granted it looks like Gnome/Budgie set up I would use, but there's so many cool qt apps out there that I want to use. Sure I can install them in a GTK DE, but I like when stuff fits together.

Mine, too, looks a lot like GNOME - on the surface - but beneith it all, it's 100% Plasma.

I'm just a fan of docks, and in my opinion those belong at the bottom of the screen. So, what to do with the main panel, workspaces, and system tray? At the top, of course. It took me a couple of days to learn to reach UP for things I used to reach DOWN for, but after that, everything once again felt normal to me.

I have also used the taskbar on the left side, like Unity when using Budgie and Gnome. But somehow it won't play nice in KDE when the plasma panels are next to eachother.

My favorite thing on GNOME is Application launcher

People : Why do you need app icon that big for a desktop? This is not tablet !
        Me : I don't care, I like it

Honestly if Plasma "Application Dashboard" as good as this is, I might switch to Plasma. Emphasis on might.

Budgie, panel at the bottom, tasklist applet, workspace switcher 🚀

I've done them all and so far I find I am the most productive in GNOME, followed by Budgie. I've tried every release of Solus now on my LG 45" UW monitor and they all work perfectly on it. Now only if my Steam games all worked on it correctly.

Like @alfisya, I love the Application Launcher. I can see and read them without needing my glasses. 😁

Solarmass sleek as heck. Nice. big fan of your efficiency and real estate.

@SethStorm666 you've made an anecdotal case that the Mate exodus already occurred; thought there'd be 2-3 holdouts but no. edit-typo

second edit: @Staudey is still rocking Mate; my observation less/not valid.

To be fair that's only on my laptop that I rarely used except to test MATE-related changes ^^

Best KDE Plasma implementation I've ever used.

That is one thing I like with Gnome too. The Dashboard on KDE is not near as good. And every other launcher in KDE uses 32px and downwards icon images which makes it hard to see the icons.

I just switched from Xfce to Plasma because of wake-up issue. I like the minimalized of Xfce a lot, but I could stay no longer with that issue. So far, I have no big issue with Plasma 6 except known flickering issue with Nvidia driver + Wayland. Happy until now 🙂

You can strip Plasma, so it become minimalism. I have done so far. Removed the "extra" entries in dolphin as an example and strip Dolphin to its barebone:
