checking for update

Dear all.

I have installed Google Chrome and Spotify, everything works fine, but when checking the update, it keeps checking for update. Is this normal?

Sjaak Yes. the 3rd party stuff is not perfect but works. 🙂

I have noticed once in a while is stalls but rechecking it has updated.

You mean in the Third Party section? If so, yes, it takes a while. In fact the script for Third Party apps isn't very sophisticated, so it just re-install the newest version regardless of whether you already have it or not. So checking for an update takes the exact amount of time it takes to re-download and re-pack that app 😅

And the third party repo is due for removal in the near future. I'd suggest to start looking for alternatives e.g. Flatpaks for the applications you use from there.
