Another week another successful sync on my XFCE and Plasma setups.

How are things going with testing Discover app store? When will it be released in the stable version approximately? 😊

MrAiupov AFAIK, it is not going to replace solus-sc until Solus 4.6 ISO is released.

As a now middle-aged guy, Solus makes me feel the strangest emotions among all distributions I hopped the last 15+ years: wellness, homeliness and trust. I can barely believe it, it looks like some kind of love. What a nerd have I become?! Félicitations l'équipe, chapeau bas !

EbonJaeger The Budgie folks released an update to Budgie Control Center this week. This release fixes CVE-2023-5616. Notably, sections for GNOME Online Accounts and GNOME Remote Desktop sharing have been removed

Does this mean you can't set up online accounts like gmail account for addressbook/calendar integration at all any more in Budgie? That would be a huge regression.

Sebastian Unfortunately, this is correct. You'll have to temporarily install Gnome Control Center to do this now. Nothing much we can do about it :/

That is very unfortunate indeed. But at least there is a workaround. Thank you for the clarification.
Fingers crossed for Budgie 11 then. Also in regard for Raven calendar integration.

Solus is a Roling distribution? And how often do updates come out to it?

tiberiy0 And how often do updates come out to it?

Usually every weekend. Friday or Saturday, depending on where you are in the world. Occasionally a week is skipped because of a huge number of upgrades needing to be tested, but once a week is the usual schedule.

Solus is not only a rolling release, but it's well curated. Very seldom does a problem get through, and when it does, it's quickly resolved.

alfisya It doesn't work for me at the moment (on KDE):

$ sudo eopkg it -y libwebkit-gtk6 libadwaita foliate
          [sudo] password for fab:
The following package(s) are already installed and are not going to be installed again:
          foliate libadwaita libwebkit-gtk6
          Nessun pacchetto da installare.
          fab@solus ~/.local/share/applications $ com.github.johnfactotum.Foliate
bash: /usr/bin/com.github.johnfactotum.Foliate: cannot execute: required file not found

Previously I used the flatpack which I have currently uninstalled.

FAb7D just use foliate to run it from terminal. We don't use its app id like flatpak. Also the fix for missing rundeps are already in stable, so you don't have to install libadwaita and libwebkit-gtk6 separately. Cheers!

Sorry, didn't see your post. We more or less answered at the same time.

Still having the problem with the workspace switcher. Has this been updated in Budgie yet?

mbevks The one where clicking an application icon doesn't switch the workspace? Yes, pending a new release.

@Staudey could not replicate the emojis you get in FF at MSI (filed bug)

but can confirm the font situation is whacked out.
Ironically librewolf renders the msi page perfect.
edit: picture is updated FF, budgie

brent That is exactly the issue I'm talking about. Those are not regular numbers but some emoji font.
Anyway, this isn't an issue specific to this sync.
