Other than having those video issues on this Laptop (That were resolved) and having installed pretty much everything I will use on it so far.
Its been a couple or so weeks maybe longer and have not had any issues at all.
Nemo file manager seems stable unlike the old budgie.
So I would say the road leads forward.

My other laptop with dock and external monitor will be the main one will see how that fairs.

Cheers.

I loved Nautilus til it got terminator programming. Thunar a solid replacement with better plugins. The XFCE one is a distant second cousin--not super fond of it but like xfce. Anyway--do you miss Caja/Mate at all now?
    you have a dock!
I think I am the only one in love with the budgie panel...it took a long time but they finally got it right. except it wont see your CLI apps?
happy you are up and stable. you stayed away a long time til kinks were worked out. I understand.

brent Ya I kinda miss mate been doing updates and all still to it never complains...
I will leave it on those 2 machines kinda backup machines now.

I use plank and its app launcher it has no issues with CLI apps have top panel setup just for
system stuff and plank at the bottom it works.

Ya mate was working out so well for me just kept me out of the issues and stuff If it was like 100% used
for life prob would have been another thang but I had the mac just did that stuff on it.

Long term goal is to get to the point one feels comfortable with linux all around.
Kinda reminds my early years with winders learning and all.
