Solus didn't see a printer it offered drivers to?
I believe you--just unusual but unusual happens a bit in printers/scanners.
I just installed XFCE. from memory. I rebooted it with my printer on, solus saw my printer when I opened Add Printer dialogue box, then I added the driver (solus had it). Print test, the off to races.
reboot with printer on?
if you added the drivers to cups and cups won't print that makes sense I think.
uninstall the drivers. remove cups. strip it all out. then reboot with printer on and try it again.
if that doesn't work there's a problem. solus has the driver, can't add the model..USB right? If this is a WIFI problem I can't help because I don't use it and now that's a factor...
edit or uninstall driver leave cups alone
