Solus is far more than just Budgie, but if I recall correctly, that's the Solus DE he's always reviewed. I'd like to see what Jesse thinks of Solus Plasma, for example. Or even Solus Xfce, once it's no longer a beta. (Or even while it is a beta, so long as he reviews it as a beta test. It's a damned good one of those.)
I give Jesse credit for being very thorough, though, and honest. He doesn't make up problems, neither does he ignore any that he finds.
WetGeek Or even Solus Xfce, once it's no longer a beta. (Or even while it is a beta, so long as he reviews it as a beta test. It's a damned good one of those.)
I give xfce some hours every day and I must say the more I probe and try, the more small paper cuts (as ermo calls his tracker thread) I find. I feel like it's just a burden to the dev tracker if I contribute/report more paper cuts...xfce a great beta test, as you call it, and a real blast, but not ready for prime time or full-time duty yet. in other words, I'd hate to see his review of the Beta right now...
...the Budgie review was unflinching for sure..the 'security flaw' he obsesses about that last 2 reviews requires such a far-fetched scenario and astronomical odds to happen (a Hitchcock-ian scenario of two users who don't know they have the same password etc). It's the second-to-last paragraph and I perhaps I need to re-read it.
that said I'm also a big fan/reader of his website.
