On my work, we recently upgrade to postgresql 11, its possible to use? Its hard to install?

If you use PostgreSQL for development work, use PostgreSQL in docker. You can specify PostgreSQL version on docker

I use emacs for development, and it faster when using directly system version. With docker, rails takes 3x more time to run commands, and its can be annoying sometimes. For now, i'll configure my emacs to use docker,. I hope postgresql 11 arives soon on the official repo.

It's unlikely to be updated soon, if no packages require the 11 version.

It's good practice using container technology for your technology stack. You can easily upgrade or clone your server environment on container.

Oh, i forgot, i can use docker only for postgresql, thanks yursan XD

For who wants to know how to use:
docker run -d -p 5432:5432 --name my-postgres -e POSTGRES_PASSWORD=password postgres

and then, just connect to localhost with USER postgres and password=password
