Hi is it possible to have this package ported for use in Solus XFCE, for those of us who have an account with the dark lord Google, it makes accessing files on your Google Drive really fast and easy.

This is the GitHub page for the project:

https://github.com/astrada/google-drive-ocamlfuse

I have tried installing it using opam as suggested in the wiki, unfortunately this fails and I have not yet been able to resolve this.

If anyone has resolved this please let me know as I am a loyal to Solus and would like to use the XFCE edition on my lower powered machines.

Thanks

DH

  • As an alternative, rclone and rclone browser are available in the software center and can be used in a similar way to mount Google Drive. There is good documentation for using rclone at their main site, rclone.org, and several tutorials on the web.

You can download deb. Unpack the package -> unpack date.tar.zst. Open usr -> bin-> google-drive-ocamlfuse.
This works for me on Solus Budgie Nemo

Hi thank you for this advice, after reading the rclone documentation, I found the setup process a bit more involved that google-drive-ocamlfuse but never the less doable.

It is a nice and simple solution for Google Drive users.
