Hello!

I'm experiencing a bug in Vivaldi where speed dials go blank and are rendered unusable. Devs know about it and may or may not currently work on a fix. I'm not sure, I'm confused, many people are.

What I want from you is to know if I can downgrade to the previous version of 6.3 and how can I do this?

Thank you!

I just created a new VM for Sparky Linux, and installed Vivaldi and sync'd it. The number of bookmarks on the Start Page looked right, but they were all a blank gray color. I clicked on the first one, and that confirmed that it was correct, and then when I returned to the Start Page, all the bookmarks appeared quite normal.

If this is the same problem you're talking about, perhaps doing that will work to enable the Start Page for you, too.

ReillyBrogan This is a different problem, and is a known bug in Vivaldi.

@[deleted] the best workaround is to switch to another tab, and then back to the new tab; that fixes the broken speed-dials.

@WetGeek Yes, it sounds like it is the same problem.

@EbonJaeger I know, I'm using this workaround (and others as well) all the time but it is bloody annoying. I thought that maybe I could switch back to 6.3 while they're taking their sweet time fixing it. : )

I didn't see any problems after that "fix" for Vivaldi on Sparky Linux. In fact, I'm using that VM as my daily driver again as I wait for a solution in the Telegram crashing problem in Solus. Talk about annoying!

Oooh! It appears that they are finally working on a fix. \o/
