I was banging my head against the wall trying to figure out which Gstreamer plugins were preventing Strawberry and Rhythmbox from playing the FLAC streams for Radio Paradise.

Well, never figured it out. I solved the problem, however. I installed the Flatpak of Strawberry and not only does it play the FLAC streams perfectly, it also does away with the graphic interface glitches with Qt6 apps.

Figured this might help someone else.

Oh, using the Gnome 45 edition.

Scooter I was banging my head against the wall trying to figure out which Gstreamer plugins were preventing Strawberry and Rhythmbox from playing the FLAC streams for Radio Paradise.

Can you open a Github issue for this? I don't see any related issues and this is the first time I'm hearing about this issue.

, it also does away with the graphic interface glitches with Qt6 apps

Our qt6 version is a bit old, and I haven't really prioritized updating it since there are relatively few apps that use it (we build almost everything with qt5 where possible). Updating qt6 to 6.6.0 is on my todo list though.

I was able to reproduce this, can you please still open an issue for it though? Also, it appears that only the flac w/ metadata streams are affected, the non-metadata flac streams work fine.

Just an update on this, this issue has been resolved in unstable. One of our gstreamer plugins needed the qt/qml plugins enabled in the build options. Once the sync happens you'll be able to use strawberry to listen to flacm web streams without having to resort to the flatpak.
