I own the "Logic Pro 16" from Saleae and used it several year under Linux Solus until now. Since one of the latest OS update the Appimage of the "Logic 2" analyser software does not working anymore. It shows the message "Error Connecting to Socket" on the startup screen and stops starting. I have two PCs and one notebook with Linux Solus and the problem occurs with everyone. I also tried an older version of the Logic 2 software but without success (the same problem).

Could it be that the OpenSSL library update 1.0.2 to 3.1.2 is the reason of the problem ? Does someone could confirm that it doesn't start on it own Solus installation ?

Does somebody has an idea to solve the problem (i need the Logic Analyser quite often) ? Any help would be welcome.

BTW: Linux Solus is on the latest version. The Saleae analyser software can be downloaded here (it don't need to be installed and you don't need the analyser hardware to test)

It requires to install the libxcrypt-compat package. After that the Logic Analyser HW is recognized again and fully functional.

Appimage from your link is starting up for me.

OpenSSl version 3.1.3
Logic-2.4.10-linux-x64.AppImage.

Strange... Did a short test with my Solus notebook again and got the same error like on the other two PCs.

What kind of desktop do you use ? I use only Budgie.

System:
Host: solus Kernel: 6.5.7-259.current arch: x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: Budgie
    v: 10.8.1 Distro: Solus 4.4 harmony

Maybe archive your .config/Logic directory or move or rename it and try running the program.
