With the recent changeover from Phabricator to Github, I'm a bit confused on the process for submitting new packages (i.e. in response to package requests). There are a couple of package requests that I own that I would love to submit packages for, but I'm not sure what the process is now that we aren't using arcanist.

Do I submit a PR to https://github.com/getsolus/packages? I can't exactly add a new repo to solus-packages, considering that I'm just a volunteer maintainer and not on the global maintainers team. What's the right way to go about this?

  • We're still asking that people file package requests using the form found at https://issues.getsol.us (which is actually just a link to the issues for github/getsolus/packages)

When your package is approved, you will make a PR with the new package.yaml and accompanying files to github/getsolus/packages that will be reviewed and then copied over to github/solus-packages.

Tracey is in the middle of documenting all this properly on https://help.getsol.us. Please bear with as we all get used to the new Github workflows. You can always ask questions in the Matrix rooms if you get stuck.
