dark theme not working properly on Budgie 4.4

Hi folks,

I was wondering if anyone also has the problem I have, the dark theme doesn't work on the whole system. Since my install of the 4.4 ISO I have this problem:

Did I do anything wrong when installing/configuring? I have this problem on 3 Laptops and 1 PC. All of them use Budgie and I didn't mess with anything deeper. Applying dark theme was pretty much one of the first things I did and it did not work everywhere.

I would be glad to find any help here. If it should be a bug, I could also write a report on the dev tracker.

I noticed that you have Materia selected as the theme. Did you happen to try Materia-dark? I find that it works quite well in Budgie.

Budgie 10.8 will be release to Solus tomorrow. It may be worth waiting to see how that upgrade changes and fixed things. 🙂

I would suggest the following: uncheck "Dark Theme" and then select the "Materia Dark" theme from the "Widgets" menu. This will result in a more uniformly applied dark theme.

Ah thanks for the hints. Materia dark works. But what is the dark theme option for then? :-D

Personally, I would use the "Dark Theme" option only if the theme I'd selected in widgets did not have it's own dark version. Materia has a dark version, so I think using "Dark Theme" would be redundant.
