I wanted to say bravo on your new release! Its good to have solus back in the mix. I wanted to know if there is
any idea what time frame we are looking at for kernel 6.4x to hit the distro. I have all AMD hardware and have
noticed huge improvements in performance with this kernel. Im looking to switch back to solus but will be waiting
till this update drops.
Secondly I wanted to know if solus includes the wayland plasma packages? Thanks again for your hard work!1

Its nice to finally get the ISO out, the team are all relieved to finally be able to shift focus.

We do not give ETAs but with kernel 6.3.13 released a few days ago and being the last in the 6.3.x series I suspect it would not be too far away.

Plasma has had Wayland support enabled on Solus for a long time (I am using it now). The team are looking to enable it for Gnome as well with the next gnome stack update.

The team has also been working on improving the OTTB experience for Wayland such as having nvidia-drm.modeset=1 kernel parameter set by default for users on the proprietary nvidia drivers, which was planned for Solus 4.4 but the change had to be reverted due to issues found in testing. With Solus 4.4 out the door we can return to looking at stuff like this, such as enabling pipewire by default which is required for certain things to work properly under Wayland. That said you don't need to wait and can switch to pipewire manually should you wish, I am already using it as are many others and kernel parameters can be set manually also if you require them.

Ok this is great news. Yeah pipewire is good stuff for sure. I used to run budgie but I now find wayland to
    handle multi monitor better atm.

We've got an updated systemd and mesalib landing this sync, so maybe kernel 6.4 in the sync after?

AWESOME for me the 6.4 kernel has been a good one for the 5800x3d and my 7900xt

You'll probably like the new mesa too (23.1.3), which comes with GPL pipelines by default.
