brent On the contrary, I'd like to see him turn a profit.
I was indulging in a little bit of sarcasm, I confess. When I rejoined Twitter during the Solus Troubles, someone told me after the fact that I could read tweets from the Solus Project without being a member. I was amazed to learn that. I would have assumed that in order to participate, one would probably need to be a member -- especially since that's free.
So, I've been a member about 6 months or so this second time around, and so far, I don't have any regrets. I have a good many followers, considering how new my account is, and I'm following some very interesting people who share my interests. I rarely see an ad of any kind. In fact, I can't remember the last one.
I don't log on every day, and I'm in no danger of ever exceeding my daily tweet limit. I like to respond to some of the tweets I read, and some even impress me enough to retweet them, often with my own comment. I think I've made a friend or two there.
But you have your opinion, and I have mine, and nobody can say one of us is right and the other is wrong. We're just different. I've known that for a long time, and I still consider us to be friends.
