Plasma dektop doesn`t load at startup

During the last update the screen went black.
After reboot it againloaded to a black screen.
After a minute a window showed up with the message plasma desktop couldn`t load properly.
I hit reload button and it worked.
This happened before after a few reboots but not every time.

I just noticed that Solus still boots into kernel 6.3.6 but 6.3.8 is installed but doesn`t show up in the grub.
6.3.6 and 6.3.4 is listed.
So i guess something went wrong during the update.

Mine shows the right kernel:

I did a bad mistake.
I manually switched to kernel 6.3.8 because it was listed but it says no file during boot.
No other options listed.
Why is 6.3.6 gone there was no successful boot ?
What can i do ?

It sounds like the update was incomplete, which would explain why you have an entry for the 6.3.8 kernel but no files for it. Are you saying there are no other entries in the boot menu at all? No other kernels?

If you can boot with any kernel in the menu, the first thing to do is to check for broken packages. You can find out how here: https://help.getsol.us/docs/user/troubleshooting/

I tried all that but nothing works.
Now the grub is completely gone so i tried boot rescue.
I cant get access to the hard drive ->permission denied. I guess it is because im using LVM device.
Tried supergrub disk but no luck.

Is it possible to copy the files directly from a backup drive just to get the grub back ?
I have a kubuntu live USB wich uses KDE so i could use KDEpartition utility ?
I just need to know which folders are affected.

It seems i have to wait for the 4.4 ISO.
Checked the files on my Solus install and all looks O.K to me.
grub.cfg is present and also both 3.6.6 and 3.6.8 kernel files are present.
Not sure what the problem is but since the 4.3 iso doesn`t work anymore i have to wait for 4.4.
