Software Joystick Alignment?

In an attack of nostalgia I wanted to play IL2FB in wine a bit, but my old joystick is misaligned, center isn't center anymore. I wonder if there's a possibility to override the alignment by software. Found nothing in the settings menu. "jscal" is mentioned for Ubuntu... something similar here? Sorry for being stupid.

this from the repo might be short of mark (Attract):

This is just stuff to try. I have no personal knowledge of which program would get you where you want to be with the re-alignment. edit/format

brent Thanks for your reply. Well, okay, flatpak.... I even haven't flatpak installed so far - and this is not likely to change in the near future.
I just wondered if I did overlook an obvious solution to such a simple and silly problem as input device calibration should be.

AntiMicroX could help you with that joystick drift, It's in the Solus repo and you can use the software center to install it.

Usually joystick drift adjustment is handled within the game/app that you're using. Have you checked if there are any related settings within the app itself?

@nolan thanks, didn't know this app. Unfortunately it doesn't solve my problem, but useful anyway.
@infinitymdm yes, there is, but not helpful for this kind of error.
Well, I'll fix this by soldering. No problem.
