KeepassXC is ready for an update to 2.4.1 for the repo.

JoshStrobl Josh, I think I'm not understanding. Is keepassx dependent on mono install and the XC not dependent on mono? Not like I really know the difference but I thought mono is a "windows" thing and not required in linux. Can you shed some learning light on that subject please? Maybe we could eliminate one or the other app based on good info; less upkeep? Oh, one other thing - compatibility with the mobile side such as keepass2android and web storage of the database on for instance Tresorit for up&download / syncing is important issue too.

Harvey Actually keepassXC is a community fork of keepassX and Solus switched from X to XC a few years ago because the 2nd is actively developed while the first doesn't see much activity anymore.

Unlike the original KeePass, none of these two require mono.

Longtime keepassx user on Mac and Linux here. Love the program. When I switched to Solus, I didn't find XC with eopkg on the command line but did later see that the software center UI app finds it. It's a bit confusing but other than that all is dandy 🙂

Harvey No convo at all :-) But the repo has "keepass" and "KeepassXC". So we have a mono version and a non-mono version. I've used Keepass in one form or other for years. And I Patreon the KeePassXC Team monthly. Thanks all for the insights, much appreciated.
