Hi! I once used Solus-KDE and MATE. Learning about the new direction taken by the dev team management, I thought the timing was right to have Solus running again on my new back-up all AMD PC, with an MSI AMD graphics card.
On my workstation rig, I have installed Manjaro KDE (nvme0) and Mint Cinnamon (nvme1) and the radeon-profile software application can be installed from AUR for Manjaro, and from Synaptic Package Manager for Linux Mint.
So, my question is: is radeon-profile available for Solus so I can set and monitor my AMD GPU fan speed?
Awaiting the 4.4 ISOs ... meantime thanks for your comments.
Radeon-Profile Application
Searching https://dev.getsol.us for it shows that we do indeed have an active repository, which looks to have the latest update available: https://dev.getsol.us/source/radeon-profile/
That said, this software doesn't appear to have been updated upstream in about 3 years. Does it still actually function with modern GPUs?
Radeon-profile works fine on my Sapphire 6600XT Nitro2 card.
@"infinitymdm" @"MikeK61": Many thanks for your replies. Glad to know that radeon-profile is available and working. And YES it does work with modern GPUs. My workstation build has a Ryzen 9 5900X and a Sapphire 6700XT Pulse card. My recently built back-up rig has a Ryzen 7 5700X and a MSI 6650XT card. Currently waiting for the release of Solus 4.4 ISOs. Nice day to all.
