Hi,

Not sure how and when it started, certainly not since the last updates, but the Okular document viewer is having troubles applying the system theme:

If I change the theme option (Budgie Desktop Settings), Okular is having the nice clean look until I close it and start it again:

Is anyone else having the same issue ?

Ok, but qbittorrent is also a qt5 application and looks at it should on every start.
The Okular was OK few months ago - it was applying my Budgie theme just OK.
The other "interesting" thing is that when I change the themes from the Budgie Settings, then Okular applies the theme just OK... you can see this on the GIF in my previous post.

Cheers,
PY

ReillyBrogan That's not quite true. We have qtstyleplugins pre-installed on (at least) Budgie Desktop, which provides GTK2 styling for QT5 apps.

@presianbg I can reproduce this issue, but not sure what causes it yet.

Staudey Reproducing an issue reliably is hardest part.
I'm sure someone somewhere sometime will figure it out where the bug comes from and fix it 🙂
Good to know that the problem is not only on my TV 😛

@Staudey after you confirmed the issue could be reproduced on your system, I did some more digging.
Looks like the bug is in the okular source and was introduced with 22.08 version - https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458476
Fedora is also affected - https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=462697

Downgrading to 22.04 fixed the glitch for me. Not sure if 23.04 , which is in the unstable will fix it... but I'm afraid to upgrade because of the recent LUKS broken post here on the forums (still not sure if it's related to the unstable upgraded tho).

EDIT: Upgraded to unstable one of the systems I have, which is without LUKS. Looks like 23.04 has the same regression regarding the gtk themes.
