Now that Budgie Desktop has been updated to the 10.7 series, you may have noticed that the old User Indicator applet works very differently. Gone is the old menu, replaced by a new dialog window in the center of the screen.

Some of you might miss the old menu, and/or not like the new menu, though. So what is a person to do? Well, if you're one of those people, you're in luck! There is a new third-party applet for Budgie that gives you the goodness of the old menu with a refreshed look: Budgie User Indicator Redux!

Now, where can you get this applet? It can be found at your local Solus package dealer under the name budgie-user-indicator-redux-applet. Get it today for $0 a month and a low, low interest rate of 0%!

I just discovered that the new user indicator and the old user indicator can't coexist in the same panel, in a bad way lol, the panel crashed and restarted itself closing the budgie desktop settings window in the process.
    It's not harmful fortunately.

By jove, I did not know that Solus could also make adaptations for seniors !!! 😂 It's extra, thanks to you.
NB. On the French version, it would be necessary to change "Vérouillé" into "Verrouillé" in the menu of this applet.

nolan Hm. Probably because of using the same DBus interfaces... I didn't think of that...

penny-farthing Translations are managed here, done by people in the Budgie community. Translation assistance is always appreciated 🙂

Probably, I deleted the old user indicator and replaced it with the redux and it works fine

Did you know, that you can remove items you never use like suspend and hibernate?

With user-indicator-redux you can do it! 🚀

Patrice In fact, on closer inspection, I noticed that all the verbs on the French version were written in the infinitive. So you'll have to correct "Vérouillé" to "Verrouiller" (and not "verrouillé" as I indicated by mistake). Thanks in advance and sorry for the late notice.

Very nice and useful applet, thank you !
