Just updated, (again, twice in the space of 4 days I'm feeling a bit giddy here LOL)
Oh boy its here, Budgie 4.7.1. Yay! I feel like a little kid again opening presents. Thank you DEV's one and all
Latest Budgie looks and feels great, its subjective I know but it feels faster more responsive.
Whatever the reason, I'm a happy bunny right now.

    ikey
Oops? I did say i was excited, dropped a few brain cells along the way sorry

Budgie 10.7.1 is great ! thank you development team running on a Lenovo Thinkpad e585 with a AMD Ryzen 2200 2.5 ghz CPU , 240 gig SSD, and 8 gigs Ram . GPU is a Vega 9 card .

No regressions that I can see so far, all seems to be working well

Only thing i noticed after reboot is reset of wallpapers to default on plasma.
no real deal with that, i can set them back and even adopt new ones.
The baby is rolling and running fast and lighter.
    Thank team

Have yet to try editing the menu structure with menulibre (no need as its all setup for me) but I've found that on other distros with 10.7.1 (!!!) when I've say hidden a menu entry for whatever reason or added a menu entry manually say in Accessories when I've finished and checked menu there would be 2 Accessories entries never did work that one out, and like I said, don't have a need to as yet.

    My setup

Edit: Although that tidied up the information, I forgot that this forum does not do like others and place the text in a small scroll window,

MintSpider It will do it if you select multiline text and then use "Insert code"

Alternatively you can put ``` (three accent graves) above and below your pasted code/text

I've taken the liberty of editing the above two posts as well so the thread looks a bit tidier (and shorter).

I had just booted to backup my system and try a different distro. Was so happy to see updates.
Solus is one of the few distro that work with my old laptop and support its videocard without issue.
Nice to be able to run CUDA apps. Davinci Resolve. had to install ocl-icd-devel before it would work. Also Blender in pack install did not see CUDA, manual install fixed.

Really nice, keep up the work guys

Being a French-speaking user, I noticed a change in the application launch menu (Super key) after installation of the new updates this evening (85 packages, still bravo).
Indeed, the left part of the menu is in English, and no longer in my language.

Likewise, when you make a stop or a disconnection of the PC, a first dialogue box appears in English, then a second in French (as in Fedora 38 in Budgie desktop version that I had recently tested in virtual machine).
Is it normal? Will there be a correction to rectify this, please?

          Best regards.

penny-farthing The Budgie Menu changed a bit, which means translations have to catch up. That will be fixed once the translations are made and pulled in.

EbonJaeger Thank you for the info. For the wait, no worries: the incident at the beginning of the year taught us patience... 🙂
