Move window buttons like close, minimize, maximize to the left

Hello,
I would like to move the above window buttons from right to left in Gnome. I also adjusted it using the "Optimizations" program. Everything is set correctly in the dconf editor.
Nevertheless, the buttons are on the right and not on the left, even after a restart

tgorzka not running Gnome but dconf should be the highest of the controls and should supercede 'optimizations' and 'settings'....then there is also gnome-control-center to check...

Did you already try withdconf-editor ?
Go to this path /org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/xsetting/overrides. You can change the value to this {'Gtk/ShellShowsAppMenu': <0>, 'Gtk/DecorationLayout': <'close,minimize,maximize:menu:'>}. Also change the setting on gnome-tweaks for consistency
