Reddit is littered with posts like this:
And it's not restricted to Arch. I've spent a lot of time helping people on other distros with black screens after nvidia updates, system upgrade has failed, etc.. I don't get the love for Fedora, their subs are thick with distro upgrade problems. And Pop... is "touted" for it's nvidia driver support.. but it is an absolute dumpster fire (speaking both from personal experience in addition to all the forum posts.. I still have sudo apt purge nvidia burned into my memory).
It is absolutely awesome to be on a distro that is so rock solid. Solus just works and runs like a champ. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate not having to go through repeated upgrade cycles and the waste of time of fixing all the constantly broken stuff. It's also the best Plasma spin I've ever used.
Yes this is a fluff piece, but you guys/gals absolutely deserve it.
