I think I may have mentioned from time to time that I stream content to our TV from YouTube TV, as it provides our local channels, without which my wife would not consider life with me worth living. And from time to time, I log on to take a look at its program listings on my laptop, so as not to interrupt whatever she's watching on the TV.
Today as I signed on to do just that, there was a popup notice telling me about the YouTube TV app, saying that it would make it easier to connect with them, and would I like to install it now?
Yeah, sure, I thought. This is a Linux system. And Plasma, at that. "Go for it," I clicked. And it did.
Not only did it actually install that app, but it actually worked as promised. And it created an entry for "YouTube TV" in my Plasma menu. I don't usually have any reason to stream it on this laptop, but when I do want to, it's as easy as starting any other application.
