A n00b (AKA Me, but maybe it would have been funnier to say "a friend" like all the shameful threads out there) has bought a new system without a OS (I think it's a FreeDOS) and wills to install Solus 4.3.
I've already created de USB installing disk, checking its ISO with the key, sha256sum beforehand as OK (It had some warning about the certification of Joshua's sign).
When booting for first time, it printed a error that said "Secure Boot Verification Invalid signing detected. Check Secure Boot Policy in Setup". After disabling the Secure Boot in the UEFI, I could continue going further. But not much.
After a few lines appear and the disappear in the starting process, the screen shows 4 more lines where you can read:
70.759323] sof-audio-pci-intel-tgl 0000:00:1f.3: error: request firmware intel/sof/sof-adl.ri failed err: -2
70.759431] sof-audio-pci-intel-tgl 0000:00:1f.3: you may need to download the firmware from https://github.c...
70.759538] sof-audio-pci-intel-tgl 0000:00:1f.3: error: failed to load DSP firmware -2
70.760750] sof-audio-pci-intel-tgl 0000:00:1f.3: error: sof_probe_work failed err: -2
Then stays like that so much time (several minutes) that I thought it fail (it did, in fact) and tried to power off, keeping the start button pressed. After few seconds pressing the button, a long chain of lines keep appear until it finishes (I am guessing that is canceling the installation) and turns off. If I retry, happens the same but with different timestamps.
What it is happening is probably related to the SSD coming from the factory with 3 partitions and as it must be that they are NFTS. Yeah!! It seems this OS free system comes with a sort of Windows pre-installation or some sort preparation to IT (as the monster) to get its tentacles around you and your system. The user guide (and the shell when started) says that there 1 of 350 Megas called EFI, another nameless with what I guess its the rest of free space, and a third partition 10 Gigs for software and firmware of the computer brand, called DriverCD. Would you all be so kind as to help me, please.
Thanks a lot on advance for your time.
Before reformating; I would like all the info about what I should and what should not do, how is best to do it, and in general all the advice from experts and users. In order of not doing something I cannot undo and puts me on trouble
