Hey everyone, after the latest update I started to experience some weird issues. Some were "minor", and I was able to fix them by myself.
First of all, everything was stuttering for no reason. Doing a rollback and using eopkg rbd
seems to have fixed it. Using eopkg check
returned no broken packages.
Another one is with discord (at least that's the only app that caused this issue so far). When moving the pop-up tray at the startup (the one with the spinning logo) everything will freeze for a few seconds. I switched to flatpak now and apparently it doesn't happen anymore.
Finally, the only issue I wasn't able to fix is wifi. Namely, I am connected to a 5ghz wifi in ac mode but download speed is terrible (e.g. few Mbits). It is much better on 2.4, around 20mbits.
I have an Intel wifi card (AX 200) and it's using the iwlwifi driver. I have tried setting power save on off in the configs and other stuff also suggested in the arch wiki but cannot get it to work.
Interestingly enough, booting into another distro showed me full connection speed and better performance on 5ghz, roughly 50mbits.
While I think the quality of the signal might be part of the issue, what can I try in the meantime before resorting to reinstall?
