jrsilvey If you are using Vivaldi go to vivaldi://sync
I don't use Vivaldi because it doesn't fit my use case.
jrsilvey Think you could do some investigating for me?
I can look at the boards tomorrow. I probably won't find anything you haven't already found or could more quickly find on your own.
For the purposes of looking at the boards, a quick fact check: You have Visual Studio Code installed on Solus as a Flatpak or Snap and Edge as a private eopkg?
Any other relevant programs installed, or relevant information you think might help me investigate?
Edit/Update 7/20: I spent a couple hours reading the boards on your behalf. Like you, I read the Microsoft instructions and I found a number of reports of success using Edge/VisualStudioCode/DevTools with Linux.
A pattern I found that might be relevant is that in the cases where success was reported, both Edge and Visual Studio Code were installed from .deb or .rpm files on distros that supported .deb or .rpm.
That doesn't mean that trying to patch together the tools where Visual Studio Code was installed using Flatpak/Snap and Edge was installed using a private eopkg are the source of the issues you have been experiencing, but you might consider using a distro that supported .deb/.rpm and seeing if you have better luck. That might point you in the direction of looking at disconnects arising from the installations.
In any event, I think that I've done what I can do. I don't have the necessary information or experience with Visual Studio Code to intelligently investigate further.
