[deleted] ReillyBrogan The problem has already been discovered and discussed, it's specific to certain Micro$oft devices, the fix is at the Kernel level. Now all I need to know is if it's possible for me to readily patch or update the Kernel. Apparently too there may be the necessity of an UEFI firmware update, which is available from Micro$oft.
Yes, it HAS been determined to be a kernel issue. Multiple people have confirmed that. Hell, I helped with research in the other thread and helped confirm that.
But the thing is, and I don't know how to describe this any better because it seems like you just don't understand, is that there are MULTIPLE kernel issues affecting different models and we don't know which specific issue is affecting your device until we know what the exact model of your laptop is. If we knew the exact model it's very likely that we could fix your issue, but without that information we are unable to help you.
I just checked the other thread and between this thread and that one you have been asked to provide the specific model SIX separate times and each time you have ignored the request.
At this point I have to assume that you simply don't want your issue to be resolved because you're withholding the one piece of information that we actually need to help you, and I don't appreciate that you've decided to waste our time in this manner.
Please don't reply with anything besides one of the three following options:
- The model of your laptop, which should be one of the ones on the list at the top of this page
- A request for assistance in locating this information if you are unable to find it yourself, INCLUDING what you've already done to try to find it so that we know that you're not further wasting our time
- Questions on what I just posted in the event that you do not understand what I am saying
