Hi!
First of all, thanks to all that make Solus what it is. I use Solus since 2017. I think it was the first really stable release after the change of the name and the decision to go with a non derivative solution.
I know that this starts a storm, but:
- I don't want and I don't ask a roadmap written on the stone
- I don't ask for dates, I don't care about them and I don't need them
- I don't want to stress anyone, I just would like to know what's going
- I don't want to look around in the old post (I've read them, btw), because so many things have changed
Since 2017 a lot of things have changed. I don't write the details and the story here, we all know what happened and what have been the related actions.
As a programmer myself I know that the most boring part is writing docs. But, I also know that this is an action that every since a while should be done. I can do for my work, but I can't do for the work of others. I also put the hands in front: I don't want to be rude and bad, I just also for some information that it could be hidden/buried/not visible in the channels that I use.
So, to the point of the thread: what I would like to know is a plan with some 'details' about the expected changes/updates/improvements. I don't want to stress anyone, but I just think that having such a document would help the people choose/stay with us (Solus) and even know what is going to be done in the future. The last entry in the blog is from Joshua, that is not with us anymore.
Again: I know that this have been questioned a lot, and I know the 'standard' answers. I don't mind about dates and a plan fixed and written in the stone. I'm sorry if I come up again with this, but I also think that as a long time user, that trusted Solus since (almost) the beginning, it's also a plausible request (or desire, I would say) to have a small blick in the future of Solus itself.
Thanks to anyone.
