Axios --the flatpak and appimage are both up to date. Threw older one in the trash and download the new one. In fact it was a relief appimage retained the two extensions and settings I had. can't say enough about a static config folder. gotta decide soon
--downloaded their "Portable Linux Build" app which is just a program as opposed to appimage. You have to manually configure Solus' sandbox, according to the README. But since I don't know what a Portable Linux Build is, I'm not going to mess with it.
--buttercup: easier on the eyes, more subdued and less busy looking than keepassxc. plays nice with native, flatpak, and appimages. wee clunky in places--not immediate login like keepassxc. asks for its own app password all the time.
keepassxc: does not talk to flatpak, extension sometimes wigs out, but fast, reliable, and immediate one-click logins the whole day, no fuss.
now that I know that I'm not reinventing the wheel everytime I update Ungoogled appimage, I'm inclined to 'decommission' buttercup and keep keepassXC from repo. Thanks for getting this functional again for me.
one last thing---I have to read up on flatpak vs appimage as far as differences/vulnerabilies etc just so I know.
