EbonJaeger The only movement I see is a new pull request.
The movement I'm referring to is @GZGavinZhao 's fork, which is where that pull request is coming from. Their work is why I'm asking if the Solus team is picking this up. I suppose I didn't communicate that very clearly.
EbonJaeger So unless someone creates a fork of it that they're going to keep maintaining, I personally wouldn't get my hopes up.
...well, I'm seriously considering it. I don't have any experience with GTK theming, but I have worked with Sass for generating CSS for web in the past. From the research I did today, it looks pretty much identical. I'd have to dig into it again but I bet I could figure it out given enough time. There are also a few tiny tweaks I would want to make to things, like making some of the greys a teensy bit cooler.
I'm specifically interested in supporting Budgie, as that's what I use. I understand that for the 10.X series, that means I would be working with GTK3 theming stuff. As for Budgie 11, I might try to get out ahead of it with EFL theming. (That seems to be a thing? Still learning about EFL. We'll see.)
Plus it would give me a wonderful opportunity to put a fun little Spanish riddle to use:
The answer is what I would call my adaptation of Plata. I'll see if anyone knows the answer before giving it away. Let me know if you want a hint. π
