This is what drives me crazy with linux Have Docusign I restarted firefox in troubleshooting mode.
(to disable all addons)
Went to the website Firefox would (NOT!) render documents right for printing or download where blank!
(Printed was the pdf screen)

Logged same website with windows 7 firefox 98.0.2 started in troubleshooting mode.
(to disable all addons)
it rendered documents fine in about 2secs and printed and downloaded first try!
(Printed was the pdf screen)

Any Ideas or comments
(Note Have had this kinda issue with other things in the past but cant remember what they where always went to windows and they worked)

Could you please share the website that you had problems with on Solus? I'd like to check if I can see it correctly.

Firefox 99 is on Unstable. Unless the sync gets deferred, we should be receiving it today/tomorrow. I hope so!

Windows 10/11 updated from 98.0.2 to 99.0 in the last few days, as did Firefox on Ubuntu Budgie 22.04 Beta. I imagine that Firefox/Solus will update during the current update cycle.

Hang on until 99.0 arrives in Solus. If the update does not solve the problem, I'd suggest that you file a feedback/bug report with Firefox.

It was docusign they use it to electronic sign documents.
It Was basically the firefox Pdf or docusign wasnt working together.
Unless you do electronic documents you prob wont have issues.
Wasnt with viewing main site it was internal issues.
All I can say on Issue.

And like tom said if it doesnt get fixed prob submit to firefox I know they have to do things for certain
websites and issues from time to time.

@Axios Can you try disable hardware acceleration in firefox? I also have some problems on my notebook with the current Firefox and I think it's gpu related.
Just go to the Firefox settings and search for performance. Disable "use recommended performance settings" and then "Disable hardware acceleration". I think you have to restart firefox after applying the settings but I'm not sure.
But maybe the next update will solve it anyway.

Result of trying to duplicate (Budgie, Firefox):

Went to the IRS. Filled out an IRS PDF tax document open in Firefox.
Saw typed info in Print Preview.
Printed from Firefox PDF to actual printer: typed material did not make it to print.
Printed from Firefox PDF to PDF saved on desktop: typed material did not make it to PDF.
Saved IRS PDF open in Firefox to desktop and opened in Evince until I realized Evince doesn't have fields...
Experiment over.
Can replicate.
(Whether the IRS uses Docusigh Documents or some knockoff company I have no idea how that works).

Axios Eh, maybe you are going crazy! I printed this from another browser.
Open other browser, open pdf in that browser, type bbbb, then print to file (pdf) and save on desktop. This is the saved pdf:

works in 2 browsers...I did not try to print on my printer. BUT I HAVE TO TELL YOU SOMETHING....this did not work in Firefox the first time I tried this earlier today for this thread..... [cue XFiles whistling music]

Talking about taxes, half an hour ago I downloaded my family's tax return drafts, using Firefox (on Solus, of course), and I didn't have a single problem either.

joluveba Nice. I forgot we had Okular with fields...but, can you save this document and re-open it with no problems? Can you send a page to the printer with no problem? (I think that is what Axios was going through in the original post).

brent My situation is different, I simply downloaded the draft, didn't modify anything.

On the other hand, every year I have to fill out forms for my daughter's school. I download the editable PDF with Firefox, I fill it out with Okular, and send it to a print shop (I have no printer at home).

I seldom use a browser to open PDFs, I prefer Okular for both Solus and Windows (yes, there is a Windows version of Okular, I recommend it).

I had the option to download or print But it would not display the pdf correctly blank and missing info and lots blank pages. Tried printing and download it did both It did save exactly as I was seeing in firefoxes pdf reader tried 3 or 4 times with no luck Went to windows it worked first time loaded everything quickly and correctly.
(And yes it was done loading the pdf) Got another I need to save tried it again with linux same issue will save it with windows again.
Kinda strange I use firefox as default pdf reader havent noticed any problems in that respect.
Thats why I disabled all addons to make sure they were not causing problems.
