brent don't think I can give any followup help til later but: where did you get this driver from? a deb or rpm or targz? what commands are you using to install it? are you compiling it yourself? what command gave you that error? or is that an error? in the meantime here is a success story: https://discuss.getsol.us/d/5747-samsunt-printer-clp-315-not-working-in-solus/2. there are lots of samsung driver threads in search function. ciao--
