My laptop’s (Dell G5 5590) battery died immediately after logging in. After plugging it back in, I am able to boot into the login screen, but after entering my password I get a brief flash of an error screen/image before I get stuck on a black screen with just my mouse and the software center message that there are updates available. I am guessing something about my budgie profile/something else got corrupted during the unexpected loss of power. I am able to boot into TTY and have retrieved the journalctl logs from the first boot where the battery died, and the subsequent boot where I get the following error screen:
boot where battery died:
boot after where I get stuck:
Any thoughts on how to recover from this? Is there a way to reset budgie to factory without having to do a full solus reinstall? Maybe it is even deeper than just budgie? I don’t know much about figuring out solutions from the logs, the only thing I was able to glean from them was that during the boot where the battery died, there was an “Unrecoverable failure in required component budgie-wm.desktop”
