I left a query on the Vivaldi forum, but despite five views, no one has offered an answer. I'm hoping that someone here will know the solution to my Vivaldi problem.
Vivaldi is the sole browser on six computers on our internal network - three laptops and three desktops. I've used its SYNC function, which has left duplicate thumbnails on more than one machine. I believe that every time I sync, bookmarks from multiple machines end up on the sync server, and duplicates are not dealt with.
I've heard that one instance of Vivaldi can be designated the master instance, such that I can delete duplicates on that instance, and successive syncs will cause the dupes to be removed from the server and thus from non-master instances when they are sync'd.
However, so far I cannot verify that this is true, or learn how to do it if it is. I can't find anything in the settings, for example, that will identify one instance of Vivaldi as the master, for the purposes of sync. Does anyone here know how?
