Solus Budgie LiveCD + GeForce 2070 Ti = black screen

I decided to install SolusOS Budgie on my home PC (before that it was only on a laptop) and ran into a problem. When trying to boot the LiveCD, I get a black screen after SGX disable boot errors. Black screen and nothing else. Nothing I've read here has helped.
I think it has to do with the video card.
I am using a GeForce 2070 Ti SUPER paired with an Intel Core i7 10700k.
I ask for the help of experts.

N1X3L Could it be that the ISO is older than your hardware?

Solus Live/Installed both run fine on i7-10700 CPUs, which date to early 2020. The Nvidia GeForce 2070 Ti SUPER dates from 2019. So it isn't a case of new hardware. The issue is probably*** with the driver for the Nvidia GeForce 2070 Ti SUPER, as you correctly note.

Intel i7-10700 series CPUs (including the 10700K) have Intel UHD Graphics 630 onboard which also work fine on both Solus Live/Installed. Try removing the Nvidia GPU temporarily and installing Solus using the Intel onboard GPU. After Solus has installed, you should be able to install the appropriate Nvidia driver and then put the Nvidia GPU back into the computer.

I'm guessing that the right driver is the Linux X64 (AMD64/EM64T) Display Driver. I don't know if that driver is in the repository because I don't use that GPU.

I hope that someone will come along with better information about the correct driver.

*** I assume, since you have Solus installed on your laptop, that you have BIOS set correctly for Solus on your desktop.

I just ran into this with the 4.3 Plasma ISO and a 1660 Super. Black screen on live USB fails at init nouveau. Ended up having to use the 4.2 ISO (which worked flawlessly).

Interesting! Maybe that will work for creating MATE and GNOME VMs, too. The 4.3 .ISOs aren't working at all for me, as I described in another thread today. I'm pretty sure I still have the 4.2 .ISOs on my NAS. I think I'll try those now. Probably spend a good long time updating the VMs if this really does work, but that's what rolling releases are for, right?

WetGeek 675 updates, reboot, doflicky for Nvidia drivers and off to the races.

That worked, thanks. I got a good MATE VM after only 585 upgrades. Gonna try for GNOME now.

EDIT: Got that one, too. GNOME took 599 upgrades, but now I have four thoroughly modern VMs.
