You read that right, I have tried to install Solus at least 22 times. It started telling me that it could not find the EFI Boot partition, so I needed to go and create one. I specifically had made my EFI 1024MB, that would be 512 for Windows, and 512 for what ever Linux I decided to install. I have chosen to go with Solus. it fits my personality better than any other distro.
But after a couple times, and had expanded the EFI to 2GB . I redownloaded and put on USB, but the problem remained, the rest is the same story I've posted so far in this post, except, I no longer have windows, and my EFI is now something like 9.4GB. How much more room does it need, every thing else is right at 512MB? Is there another download location that I could try, I followed a link in a article about best distro' that aren't debian or Ubuntu, and ended up on the main(?) Solus page. The checksum cheked out both downloads, but I guess there could be one word misspelled one wrong number and it could keep you from checking that for a good while.
Edit forgot to say, I am not able to install any distro that is a derivative of Ubuntu, or Debian. They do actually install, but when trying to reboot, right after grub, and the dell splash screen, I get an error "Must start kernel first", and that is every single Ubuntu and Debian I've tried. I lost count, maybe 8 different distro's or so if there's that many. I decided it would just be a lot easier to find something not made from one of those. The longer I try to run the distro, the more times I have to hard reboot until it actually boots. Eventually after about a week, it's hopeless, it will not boot again.
