Mounting Win10 rw?

Im trying to mount my win10 partition but it keeps mounting ro and checking with:

It says windows is hibernated so it refuses..

Now i have checked that Fast Startup is off and i even restarted my windows (afaik that will make sure it wont do any funny stuff) still i get info that windows is hibernated.

I can and have deleted the hiberfile.sys (without errors) from linux and then i can mount and work with the win10 partition until i boot into windows and back to linux again.

Anyone know what else to do? Do i have to disable hibernate in windows (that would suck so i'd rather not)?

[deleted] You need to shutdown it fully. Hold shift before pressing shutdown and keep holding it until your computer has powered down.

[deleted] That seems to have fixed it, thanks! Now i can seed Solus torrents both in Solus and Win using the same files! yay

I did what you suggested -> booted into linux tested it worked, back to windows to see if i need to shift+shutdown always and then reboot again into linux and it worked when it didnt prior to the shift+shutdown thing!

Any idea wtf that is about?

Windows fast startup mode doesn't use full clean shutdown.

[deleted] You sure you disabled that in Windows and not from BIOS (they're different features)

It's Windows, it knows best (by default). It usually requires three different methodologies to override what is 'best' (lol).

kyrios Believe so, it was just a matter of getting windows fully shutdown, so he could mount partitions non-dirty.

[deleted] Yea i screen shot the windows setting above that i disabled and the other (unrelated one) in bios i also have off! Not good?

[deleted] No I haven't, I just pointed out that the bios setting doesn't affect the issue.
