Happens both through the software center and "sudo eopkg up". It starts downloading then around the 55% mark it freezes.

There must have been significant networking issues with RIT's servers on Saturday. Maybe they were doiing a lot of server maintenance on a non-school day?

On Friday, I updated 7 machines (4 hardware and 3 virtual) without a single hiccup. I haven't needed to retart an eopkg process for a very long time.

Maybe just try again on Monday? If I'm right in assuming that they were doing heavy server maintenance on the weekend, things could be working well again by tomorrow.

This is usually an issue with Hurricane Electric going through NYC. If you're still seeing this today, tell me and I'll poke a few people to see what they can find out.

As of February 1, sudo eopkg upgrade leads to:

There's a lot of that going around right now. At the university where Solus is hosted, students are starting a new semester, and thousands of them are accessing the same servers we're trying to access. That will soon change, and we won't notice it anymore for a while.

Tried to update again from terminal no go gets to the llvm package and stops. no errors nuttin just hangs. Its like the third package in my update same one that was hanging up before.

Did you stop the eopkg process with Ctrl+C when that happened, and restart it? It's an annoyance, but you can get the update done if you persist.

I replaced the 250GB SSD in my main laptop with a 500GB SSD, because I was running out of room on the original one. That meant I was updating and configuring the new system Sunday and Monday, and yesterday and today I created, updated, and configured three Solus VMs - Budgie, MATE and Plasma.

All of the updates required stopping and restarting the eopkg process multiple times, but that only takes a few seconds to do. Eventually they were all current. Just Ctrl=C, Up arrow, then Enter. Annoying, but pretty quick.
