And more of the never-ending story:
Bluetooth is still not functioning correctly. I can reproduce what happens and it doesn't happen on a similar ThinkPad (X1C6) running Linux Mint 20.3 (updated), so there must be something wrong within Solus Budgie, I believe.
On Solus Budgie I have installed:
bluez
bluez-qt
At one point I tried to use blueman but that didn't really do much that hadn't happened or not happened before. So, I deleted the blueman package again.
Well, this is what happens:
- If I keep BT on, it will connect with my BOSE SLIII loudspeaker, I might have to connect the two manually but at least after that the connection stays active and doesn't drop dead.
- If I shut the laptop down or restart but keep BT on it stays on and connects to the loudspeaker again.
- If I turn BT off and turn it on to reconnect to the loudspeaker again it won't work: BT cannot find any devices and, obviously, cannot connect to anything.
- If I restart the laptop after that it'll work again.
What is happening there?
Is bluez a service that needs to constantly run to work?
If so, why does it drop dead again and again?
Please, try to help.
Thank you!
