screen resolution issue

Hello,
I'm new on Solus. I install on my computer without any problem except for my screen resolution. I should have 1280x1024 but they're isn't that choice in the monitor settings . The log screen is in the wrong resolution too so i suppose i should add something in the grub, but i don't know what exactly. Any idea ?

I use a adapter from vga to hdmi. That what you mean ?

I have a Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 and a adapter from hdmi to that quite old vga screen

lion Yeah I meant the GTX. Have you installed the proprietary drivers via Doflicky?

Try running a live version and see whether you have the resolution issue and as watpi said have you installed the drivers?

i will try a live version and yes i have installed the nvidia proprietary driver

xrandr might be a solution... but it's the weekend so I let browse the web for the syntax

same on live version. And i notice a fews differences between the Solus 4 on the live usb and my updated solus from 3.9999. (a few details about the windows corner and things like that)

I tried to configure the resolution screen with xrandr but i have a badmatch return. It seem that's quite usual with nvidia graphic cards. I suppose i will have to edit an xorg.conf file. I already generate a basic one but i don't know how to fill in detail to match my configuration.

I'm on Solus Mate, Linux 5.1.14-121.current #1 SMP PREEMPT x86_64 GNU/Linux.
System Login is not at the native monitor of 1366x768 pixels but at lower resolution.
When I unplug the power cord of my notebook (no more battery 'cause it's plain dead) and reboot the system, it happens that the Login is at full 1366x768 resolution, randomly and not at every boot.
If this subject is of any interest, how can I give you Devs more useful details about this odd thing? Thank You Very Very Much.
I apologize to add to this old post but my issue is samey. Anyone can help?
