I assumed it would be, then I read a comment about Solus not being a server distro ... but I wouldn't think that would be a problem using Docker? I've already got a Jellyfin-on-Docker server on a Linux Mint machine on my home network, and I can connect to it fine through both Firefox and Jellyfin Media Player, for what that's worth.
I expect this is more a Jellyfin problem than a Solus KDE problem, but I thought it a good idea to check here too.
And I'll say here, thankyou, but I'm not interested in either Kodi or Plex. 🙂
I've installed Docker and pulled Jellyfin on my local (Solus) machine, but when I try to connect to my Solus server I only get the response:
Connection Failure
We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again.
I'm not well versed in networking and servers beyond what I've picked up following directions doing things like setting up Jellyfin with Docker, connecting machines via KDE Connect, and like that. I've only been using Solus (KDE) steadily for a few months, as well --- love it, btw --- so I'm sure there's something simple I'm missing.
Any help getting this working would be very welcome. It's the last thing I'm testing on Solus before I install Solus on my Main Living Room machine.
Thank you in advance.
