Menu bars on Inkscape, GIMP, Krita & Kdenlive don't appear

I've "Show menu bar" on GIMP already marked but it still don't appear... In fact, it seems it was never unmarked. I don't know if Inkscape has a similar option, but it has the same problem. The same happens for Krita and Kdenlive. The only meaning change I did to my desktop was installing and uninstalling the Mate and Plasma desktop, and desktopfolders. Also, I use the Budgie version.

Wait, did you have Budgie, Mate, and Plasma all on the same installation?

Installing Plasma is not recommended if you start from another Desktop, you should only use the .iso file. See here https://getsol.us/articles/software/desktop-environments/en/

davidjharder, the only problem with Plasma I got when using sudo eopkg install -c desktop.kde desktop.kde.core was KGPG starting, and even after uninstalling it, I somehow have got a good mix of Qt and GTK on Budgie. The post's problem solved itself, by the way, after I turn my computer on today.

I don't like to use the KDE iso because when I do sudo eopkg install -c desktop.budgie it gets buggy. Also it does not have a default option to execute (appimage, .sh), only via terminal.

drama You shouldn't install plasma alongside other DE. If you do so, you will get problems.

Same here. Though I put Windows 10, Windows 11 and Solus Budgie onVMs. I gave up dual booting about a decade ago.

My problem went away and reappeared when I put global menu, then disappeared when I removed global menu. So it seems like a function rather than a bug.
