Pasword on live boot?

Solus 4.3 Mate live boot asks for a password to get in, what is it? I can find nothing, something said click unlock, but nothing on the screen says that.

Edward78 According to forum search results, it is supposed to login automatically. Did you burn the iso properly?

Edward78 Where are you trying it? Is it a VM?

Did some test in VirtualBox and found that Solus MATE 4.3 login works automatically for "VMSVGA" option in Graphic Controller, but it doesn't work at all for "VBoxVGA" and "VBoxSVGA".

I think this has been covered in the forum before. From what I've found there isn't any password. Meaning you can just leave it empty and press enter.

That didn't work, no password still doesn't let me in.

algent Hmmm, that is odd it asks for on in that mode but not others. So only MATE asks for a password?

It was a known issue that had the workaround of needing to press the enter key in virtualized environments. I did not experience that on the live ISO on my laptop when testing with a usb drive.

Regardless, it has been resolved, just need to ship new ISOs to sort it for everyone 🙂
