As a heads up, we are currently looking into various regressions in the 5.15.x kernels (amdgpu p-state / resume issues) and new xorg (some issues related to display extending on some hardware configurations), so we are going to play it on the safe side and defer our usual Friday sync until these regressions are resolved. Will keep folks posted on any changes.

5 days later

Update: We have decided to pull back to 5.14.21 and older Xorg until both kernel and xorg are in a better state. While we recognize the 5.14 series is EOL, there is simply too many regressions across AMDGPU, Intel, and some Nvidia hardware to warrant a move to 5.15 at this time.

We will continue to re-evaluate the kernel with a smaller testing group that worked with us on identifying and looking into these regressions, and monitor relevant issues + topics on it as well.

When we are comfortable moving to a new kernel, we shall do so, and until then we will be backporting any pertinent security fixes that impact our users.

You can expect a sync this Friday (December 10th).
